Kronotex South Africa was established in 2006 to promote and support availability of quality wood laminate products in Southern Africa. Today the company distributes its products throughout the whole of Central and Southern Africa through a network of 400 approved dealers, who in turn supply the products to the general public and trade customers at retail level.
Kronotex South Africa carries an extensive range of wood laminate products and accessories with over 60 colours of laminate available ex stock. These products range from 8, 9 10 and 12mm in thicknesses and are available from our Longmeadow warehouse in Johannesburg. We do not support 6 or 7mm Kronotex laminate in South Africa due to the nature of the demand for 8mm and upwards.
Kronotex South Africa primarily supports its approved dealer network with training, warranty and technical support. However, we welcome end user customer contact and will provide support, advice and suggestions as to where to purchase Genuine Kronotex products that carry full factory warranty which is covered by Kronotex South Africa.

Kronotex Germany was founded as a subsidiary of the Swiss based Krono Group in 1992, as a manufacturer of Medium and High density fibre boards, which lead to the commencement of production of laminate flooring in 1996. Kronotex annual production capacity exceeds 50,000,000 m² of wood laminated flooring which is unique from a single plant worldwide.
The company is located at Heiligengrabe north of Berlin and in the middle of Mark Brandenburg forest area. Raw materials of timber comprise conifers from the Brandenburg forest which could not be industrially utilised in any other way than typically board and laminate production. Trees are obtained in sufficient numbers by the practice of thinning out with ongoing maintenance of natural pine woods.
Kronotex promotes economically responsible forest management and was certified in 2000 and a member of the FSC - Forest Stewardship Council, PEFC.
